Our Little Miss Rugby!!!

What a fantastic week! Miss Priss had her 6 month checkup on Friday. She actually lost weight if you can imagine...all the chasing the dogs in her roller has really taken its toll. The doctor wasn't too concerned, but wanted to see us back again at 9 months. She is still very tall and her head size is hovering just below average. Her are a few pictures of her at the doctor's office...
In the waiting room (above) and on the doctor's table...can you tell she's teething????

We started off the weekend with a bang at the Patricio's Gourmet Group. The theme was authentic Asian and it was FANTASTIC! I, of course, forgot my camera, so I'll have to post pictures when Ashley sends them along. They had a family friend come in to do the cooking and it was so yummy! The girls wore kimonos and we sipped authentic teas (along with a ton of wine and beer). We even managed to play a round of Dirty Minds before we had to rush home to relieve the babysitter. We are so lucky to have such a great group of friends to share gourmet group with!

Saturday was Rugby Day in the Comstock House. Chris had his 1st home game and I dressed up Miss Haley in full rugby gear to show our support!

In case you can't read her onesie, it says "RUGBY. Our balls are bigger." I bought it as soon as we found out we were pregnant. I was sure we were going to have a boy....Anyhow, the outfit did not make it to the field as it was quite brisk outside. She did sport an "I love daddy" onesie for the game though.

Thankfully, Fresno beat SLO!

Sunday, we ran errands and had a lovely family day. I even talked Chris into picking out a few warm weather clothes for our little one. We ended our evening by watching UP. What a wonderful movie. Both Chris and I adored it!

We finished Spinach last week and are onto Broccoli this week, which Haley does not enjoy. She has become such a good little eater in the past week or so, I even started giving her half a banana with dinner (trying to bulk her up so my doctor doesn't report me to CPS).

I'll end with these adorable pictures. I call them "I heart my monkey."
and one of BooBoo the dog for my parents who are finally back in the country (FL) and missing their dog...second only to Haley of course! Don't ask where Lane and I fall in the pecking order...
We're off to Sonoma for Thanksgiving with the Comstocks tomorrow. Have a happy, healthy and blessed Thanksgiving everyone!

Add Another!!!!!

Little Miss Brenna Jean Long arrived a week ago today! Such a cutie pie from the pictures I've seen. Brenna is the 3rd girl from the Richardson cousins after Taylor and Haley. We can't wait to meet her at Christmas! Thank gosh she didn't weigh in at 13 pounds as was expected!

Uncle Jeff and his two newbie grandchildren - Brenna and Vincent!!  So love Uncle Jeff!!!

I am sooo late in my posting this week as I have been out of town on business. I left Sunday for Palm Springs and just returned last night. I've left Haley before, but this was a bit different. Chris wasn't with me and I was gone 2 nights. She seemed to have grown so much in the short time I was away. I missed my little family desperately and was so happy to be home. A HUGE thanks to my Aunt Jean, who filled in as Grandma Monday morning (since Haley's has abandoned her for Europe) and to Sharon and Dawnie who cared for her the rest of the time.

Last weekend Christopher's out-of-town rugby game was canceled (yea for me), so we did a little family date night at FIVE. Haley was on her best behavior and it was so nice to have a yummy martini and share a steak with my hubbie. We certainly beat the Friday night rush and were on our way home just as all the bar hoppers were on their way out! We put our little miss down and cuddled up on the couch to watch the new Transformers movie. I so love my life!!!!

Saturday we were up early and preparing for our mini photo shoot in Woodward Park. This photographer I've been drooling after has these "mini" sessions a couple times a year. $50 for a 20 minute shoot. You have to order the prints and everything separately, but it isn't a bad deal! We had such a ball and I thought we looked adorable, all in navy, red and white. I'll post the pictures as soon as I have any. We go to the ordering session this Friday.

We finished up zucchini squash (below) last week and moved onto Spinach this week. Surprisingly, spinach has beat sweet potatoes out for #1 fave.  Miss Haley is growing like a weed and I'm interested to see where she is on the growth charts at her appointment this Friday.

Here is a picture of the 2 famous Haley teeth causing all the drool...

and our new fave....the messy teething biscut.

We are looking forward to a hectic weekend beginning with Gourmet Group at the Patricios. They have some special surprises in store for us! I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving already!!!

Have a wonderful week everyone...love to all!

Halloween, Bounce House Party and The Bay

One holiday down....several to go! Halloween this year was a special one for the Cosmtocks. We had our very own little ladybug to celebrate with. Miss Haley looked just adorable in her costume.

I even squeezed her into her cat outfit for running errands Saturday day.

My parents came over for dinner, some pinochle and, most importantly, to spend time with our little one before the left for a month long jaunt through Europe. We didn't get as many tick'or'treaters as in years past, and had quite a bit of candy left over. Hmmmm...Perhaps next year I should buy the stuff I don't like.

That next week was a busy one at work and Chris and I were grateful when Friday rolled around. Saturday we packed up the family and headed for the Bay. On our way, we stopped by Nathan's 2nd birthday party at Bounce U. What a fun idea! The party was shown to several bounce house rooms and we spent about a half hour in each. After the bouncing, we were led to the "party room" for pizza, fancy burrito casserole and birthday cake. It was really a fun time!

The Birthday Boy

Aunt Joyce, Haley, Ashley and Peyton

Jeremy, Uncle Jeff and Christopher

Miss Peyton and Miss Haley - Just a month apart! I can't wait for them to be best friends!

Brooke and Peyton - aren't they both so photogenic

The boys - Chris, Garrett and Carlos

After the birthday cake was served (I never pass up cake) we got back on the road. We made it to Walnut Creek around 3:30 and were ready for cocktails and Comstock time! We always have such fun with Kathleen and Mike. After an early dinner we headed back to the house to watch some Perry Mason. Mike and I both love the show and the rest tolerate it! We had a lovely Sunday and were back in Fresno later than usual. Thanks Mike and Kathleen for a great weekend!

Now, news on the Haley front....

She officially cut her first tooth last Monday! Her second one just showed up yesterday!  Our little peanut is onto squash this week after a relatively successful week of sweet potatoes.

She pulled herself up for the first time on Saturday and can mostly sit up by herself now. I videoed it to send to Lane, for some reason I can't post it to the blog...oh well!
She is just a constant joy to us and we love her so much!
