Out 1st Mothers Day and Auntie Lanes Visit

So Auntie Lane has been doing the postings since Miss Haley was born. She has also been here since Saturday and has been such a huge help. Haley has been sleeping in her room and I was able to get 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night thanks to Aunt Lane and my breast pump! We have had a hectic couple of days....Saturday the entire family (Grandma and Grandpa Conway, Chris, Haley and myself) went to the airport to pick up Lane. Chris and Haley stayed in the car just in case there were any sickies! Cousin Natalie came over shortly after we got home and we bbqed and chatted the day away. Lane and Nats watched Miss Haley as Chris and I went on our 1st date night - a 5:45 showing of Star Trek. The first scene had a woman giving birth and while her husband sacrificed himself to save a ship full of people. I was balling instantly and almost left the movie to head back home to Haley. We made it through and were back home by 8. Sunday we went to our 1st mass as a family and made it through the entire hour! Then we met Grandma and Grandpa Conway for breakfast at Sunnyside CC. Then it was back home for a few hours and then off to the Toyloys to meet most of the Conway clan. What a fantastic first mothers day!

The Nursery

My first post since having baby Haley....I wanted to post pictures of her room before she got old enough to have toys littering the place. I love everything about it....we picked up the family tree and nursery rhyme prints in Paris when I was pregnant with her and framed an embroidered linen piece my grandmother passed down to me that her Aunt (mama cook) had given her. I picked up the chair at a consignment place in the bay...I love the detail and velvet seat...Chris wishes it was a lazy boy. My lovely cousin Brooke helped to embroider the crib bumper and my amazing Godmother helped me with the crib skirt. I just adore every inch and love that so much has meaning!

A Visit and A Really Big Bow

Bree, Haley and Grandma Joanie went to Reedley to visit great aunt Jeanie yesterday. Haley was, of course, dressed ever so stylishly in a pair of white pant and a pale pink oneies. But it was Haley's headband that made her the most fashionable baby on the block. Aunt Jean was so excited to meet her great niece that after the visit she sent off a quick email with a few pictures. Here is what she had to say about our little Hales:
"Guess who I got to meet today? The most beautiful young lady in her giant pink bow, Haley Elizabeth Comstock! She was so calm and collected, slept most of the time. Just a quick break for a snack and diaper change, that's all. I think this young lady has everyone under control already. Her great aunt is so excited. Just a few pictures to share. I got to hold her, but forgot to take a picture of the two of us, guess I will have to get together with her again, and again, and again................"
Here's hoping that some of great aunt Jeanie's sewing abilities rubbed off on little Haley, aunt Jean can work magic with a sewing machine. Here are the pictures aunt Jeanie sent. Enjoy!

Swing Time

Here is a little video Bree sent me yesterday of Haley swinging in her new swing chair. Gosh I am so in love with this little girl and I can't wait to meet her Saturday.

Haley is Home

Just thought I would update everyone on how the Comstock family is doing. Bree and Haley were released from the hospital on Sunday afternoon. Bree told me that on the drive home Chris was getting all upset about the careless drivers, and rumor has it that Haley already has Chris wrapped around her very tiny finger (see photo below). Haley was greeted was a "Welcome Home Baby Haley" sign, thanks to a very excited Uncle Curtis. After a glass of celebratory champagne with the grandparents, Chris, Bree, and Haley settled in for some family time and a well deserved nap. Bree said that Haley is such a good baby and that she hardly ever cries. Here are a few new photos!

Haley Sleeping

Bree sent me a few videos of Haley sleeping yesterday and I just had to share them with everyone. I know I might be a little biased, but I think she is the cutest baby ever!

Haley Elizabeth Comstock is Here!

Haley Elizabeth Comstock arrived yesterday, May 2,2009. Her weight was 6 lbs 15.5 oz and she is 19 1/2 inches long. Seeing as how Bree and Chris are a little busy gushing over their newest addition, I thought I would be the good aunt and update their blog for them. Bree and Baby Hales are both healthy, happy, and doing great. Chris is already showing signs of being a great dad by stepping up to the plate and changing Hale's first diapers. Bree and Chris wanted to make sure I share the news of Haley's birth with all of their friends. I sent a text to a few of you, but thought the blog would be the best way for everyone to see a few pictures of Haley. These are some the photos Grandma Joanie Conway sent to me from her cell phone! Hope you all enjoy!
